The product images displayed are intended for illustrative purposes only. While our efforts focus on providing the most accurate representation, we acknowledge that factors beyond our control may impact the perception of color, texture, or finish. We recommend ordering a complimentary sample before committing to a purchase to ensure your satisfaction with the actual color, texture, and finish of the product, allowing you to make a well-informed decision.

The pelmet

The pelmet arrives in an "Uncut" state at the standard box size, offering you the flexibility to customize its dimensions using a standard hacksaw. By default, the pelmet is mitred on one side, and both mitre pieces are provided as part of the standard package, ensuring you have all the components needed for a tailored and seamless installation.

Made to measure blinds

Kindly be aware that all made-to-measure items are crafted with a tolerance level of +/- 5mm. This is in addition to any recess deduction. When ordering a made to measure item, the required width and drop when placing an order for a made-to-measure item, it is imperative to note that under regular terms and conditions, returns for such products are not applicable. Please ensure the utmost accuracy in your measurements to guarantee a satisfactory fit for your bespoke item.

The ends of your blind

These blinds are crafted from standard materials, resulting in unfinished or unpainted ends. Typically, this poses no issue, especially when the blinds are installed within a recess, as the ends remain concealed from view.

The brackets and controls for your blind

Each package comes complete with all essential brackets and fittings for your convenience. Our universal brackets offer versatile installation options, allowing you to face-fix or top-fix them to the window, wall, or lintel effortlessly. Please note that we do not recommend side fitting your wooden blind within a recess due to the necessary deduction. The raise control is positioned on the right-hand side, while the tilt control is located on the left for easy and intuitive operation.

The drop of your blind

The specific drop of your blind is contingent on the slat size you choose. While we strive to manufacture blinds with drops as closely aligned to your measurements as possible, please be aware that there may be a slight variance, and the blind could be marginally longer than the initially requested drop.

  • Faux Wood are manufactured from an extremely durable PVC plastic, which in turn brings benefits of being waterproof and very easy to clean. Real Wood blinds are, as you can probably guess, made from 100% real basswood! Real Wood blinds come in fantastic colours, some oozing with class with their deep grained texture

  • Wooden blinds, on their own, are not typically considered blackout blinds. Wooden blinds are designed to provide control over light and privacy by adjusting the slats, but they may not completely block out all light. The slats of wooden blinds are usually spaced, allowing some light to filter through.

If you are specifically looking for blackout features, you may want to consider blinds made from materials that are designed for light blocking, such as vinyl or fabric blackout blinds. These types of blinds often have additional features to minimize light leakage and provide better light control, making them more effective for creating a darker room environment.

However, if complete blackout is not a strict requirement for your needs, wooden blinds can still offer a degree of light control and privacy while adding a touch of natural warmth and style to your space.

  • The controls on wooden blinds allow you to adjust the position of the slats to manage light, privacy, and visibility. The specific controls may vary depending on the type and brand of blinds, but here are some common control mechanisms for wooden blinds:

    Cord Tilt Control:

Most wooden blinds have a cord tilt control, which allows you to tilt the slats open or closed. Pulling one side of the cord will tilt the slats in one direction, and pulling the other side will tilt them in the opposite direction.

    Lift Cord or Cord Loop:

The lift cord or cord loop is used to raise or lower the blinds. Pulling on the cord raises the blinds, and releasing it allows them to lower. Cord loops are often used for larger blinds and are designed for easier operation.

  • Wooden blinds, often referred to as wood blinds or wood-look blinds, differ from other types of blinds primarily in the material used for their construction and the aesthetic they offer. Here are some key features that make wooden blinds distinct from other types of blinds:

    Natural Aesthetic

Wooden blinds provide a warm and natural aesthetic that is often sought after for its classic and timeless appeal. The texture and grain of real wood or faux wood bring a touch of nature into your living spaces, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

    Variety of Materials

Wooden blinds are available in both real wood and faux wood options. Real wood blinds are crafted from natural wood, offering an authentic and unique look. Faux wood blinds, on the other hand, are made from materials like PVC or composite wood, providing the appearance of wood with added durability and resistance to moisture.

    Lightweight and Durable

Wooden blinds are lightweight yet durable, making them easy to operate while also being robust enough to withstand regular use. Real wood blinds are known for their natural strength, while faux wood blinds offer additional resistance to warping, cracking, and moisture damage.

    Versatile Finishes and Colors

Wooden blinds come in a variety of finishes and colors, allowing for customization to match different interior styles and color schemes. This versatility makes them a popular choice for homeowners looking for window treatments that seamlessly integrate with their decor.

    Light Control and Insulation

The adjustable slats of wooden blinds provide excellent control over the amount of natural light entering a room. By tilting the slats, you can manage the level of privacy and light, creating a comfortable and functional environment. Additionally, wooden blinds offer some degree of insulation, helping to regulate temperature and energy efficiency in a room.

    Timeless Appeal

Wooden blinds have a timeless and classic look that can complement various design styles. Whether you have a traditional, contemporary, or eclectic decor, wooden blinds can enhance the aesthetic appeal of your windows and contribute to the overall beauty of your home.
